RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the development and preparation of engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Microstation and ensuring that design drawings conform to specifications and design data supplied by the engineer.

JOB DUTIES

Develop and prepare engineering drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.
Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) software.
Develop preliminary design sketches.
Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
Develop 3D models for conflict resolution and concept rendering

REQUIREMENTS

Post-secondary diploma / degree in drafting.
5 years of AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience including standardized drafting practices.
Experience in structural drafting with bridge structures experience preferred.
Computer proficiency in CAD 2D & 3D Modeling.
Planning and organizational skills.
Interest in developing professional and technical skills.
Organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking and time management techniques.
Strong work ethic.
